MySelf-Management Groups Code of Conduct
Welcome to MySelf-Management groups and activities
As well as our in-person activities, we provide online activities for anyone living with a long-term condition, long COVID or persistent pain in Highland.

Our in-person and online Living Better groups are supportive and safe spaces for MySelf-Management group members to connect, support each other, share useful information and take part in training and other activities.
We ask all members to please follow our Group Rules:
-
Be a great group member:
-
Be kind
-
Be respectful
-
Be supportive
-
Be inclusive
-
Be non-judgemental
-
Respect confidentiality – what is discussed in a group stays in the group
-
Be mindful that we may have different beliefs and views, and that people may find some words or topics upsetting or triggering
-
Be welcoming to new members and encourage them to participate – some people may feel nervous if it’s their first time joining a group
-
-
For online members led peer support groups on Teams:
-
These meetings are scheduled to last for one hour. Please ensure they are wrapped up by then. You can continue on another platform if you wish.
-
Please welcome new people so they feel comfortable and included
-
Please ensure everyone is encouraged to join in
-
Use the chat function at first if this is easier to engage with the group
-
-
Be mindful of what you share in Facebook groups
-
When sharing posts from outside the group, please check that the content and any comments attached are appropriate before sharing
-
Do the source’s (person or organisation’s) values reflect those of MySelf-Management?
-
-
No advertising in our Facebook groups please
-
Our Living Better Facebook group is a space for sharing mutual support and therefore ask that you do not advertise any goods or services for sale
-
Thank you so much for working with us to create a fun, inclusive and compassionate space to support each other. We are looking forward to growing and developing our member services with all of our members to achieve this.
If you feel uncomfortable about anything you see or hear in a group, please let us know by emailing info@myself-management.org
